Justice League Generation Lost 6, Why hello there, filler issue.

NOOOO! My spotlight issue was pointless!Justice League: Generation Lost was conceived as a year long event comic. I can get behind that. It's a great way of seeing more of these characters than a mini, but telling a specific and defined story. The thing is, 26 issues was a number determined by the idea of a comic every other week, not the natural length of the story. And in this issue, wow, it shows.
If you're paying money for this comic and you aren't a completist or an enormous Captain Atom fan, you can pretend there is no issue 6. Buy a burger and shake off the McDonalds dollar menu. Buy some grocery store carnations or an assortment of penny candy for someone you love with that $2.99 instead. You won't miss a thing.
In this issue, after a flashback to his origin story, Captain Atom inexplicably ends up in the future through the magic of nonsensical comic book science. In the future, something Max did has seriously screwed up the world! Elderly and broken down Power Girl says so. Nevermind the fact that the last five issues have been about how much they need to stop Max Lord. And then he pops back into the present day and tells everyone what he saw. The end.
Now, a random filler issue in the middle is better than an "Oh hell, we need six more issues" anticlimax ruining the ending and I have nothing but sympathy for the creators of this book, but there's no reason for you to waste your money on it. Why not try a totally new and different comic instead!
