Comics that deserve more press - Prince of Power 4 of 4

This is a follow-up to my earlier review of the first three parts of Prince of Power, available here.
Two words: Epic. Win.
Not only in the colloquial sense - amazingly great - but also completely literally. Amadeus Cho succeeds on a level easily equal to anything you'll find in a vast, universe-spanning tale of gods and heroes.
For those of you playing along at home who may have missed the first review, let me explain why this is relevant to your interests. Imagine you took Tim Drake and Lex Luthor and put them in a blender. And then dropped the brash, brilliant, ferociously loyal and frequently overreaching product of this match onto the same playing field as the Greek and Norse gods. Do you see why this might be relevant to your interests?
For the first three issues of this four issue miniseries, Amadeus has been, well, losing. Losing entertainingly with brilliance and style, but losing.
Yeah, that changes.
It has to be amazingly hard to pull off a really satisfying grandiose pantheon-spanning story in a four-part miniseries sandwiched between two giant events. Pak and Van Lente make it work like nobody's business. On a practical, Marvel Universe-wide level, I'm fairly sure that this miniseries had one objective (beyond making money) - bringing one pawn back to the board for use in a future giant event comic, and otherwise leaving the status quo unchanged. But it doesn't feel unchanged.
When we last left our hero...By the end of the series, you've borne witness to one the most unstintingly generous acts of love in the whole Marvel canon, and an absolute refutation to the idea that power can't help but corrupt. Amadeus and Delphine the Gorgon have gone from the teen romance that never quite got started to one of the most exciting and dangerous power couples in the Marvel Universe. It feels as if you've just read the birth of something truly amazing - if Pak and Van Lente can keep this up, they've just put an extremely cool new major player on the Marvel stage.
Read this series, or, when it comes out in trade, read this book, I cannot recommend it enough. Personally, this book has earned a permanent place in my heart, no matter what comes after.
Need I say more? I don't think so.
